BiographyPhysician; pharmacist; co-owner of Laird and Dines Drug Store in 1923, '-25, 1926, '27, '28, '29, '30.
Came to Tempe in 1882.
In 1897, he formed a partnership with the Laird family and opened Laird and Dines Drug Store.
He was a partner in the pharmacy until 1921. He was later involved with the Daggs Sheep Company in northern Arizona.
Served on Territorial and State Board of Pharmacy, 1903-1930.
Tempe City Councilman, 1900-1912 and 1916-1920.
Mayor of Tempe, 4 May 1903 - 13 Jun 1912 and
8 Jun 1916 - 10 Jun 1920.
During his term on City Council (the longest in
Tempe history), he was instrumental in initiating city's first municipal water system.
Lived at 120 W. 7th Street; moved to 720 S. Mill Avenue, c1920, 21; lived at 26 E. 6th Street in 1924, --'25, '26, '28, '29, '30, '31, '32. Lived at 5 E 5th in 1923.
