He served as Deputy County Sheriff and Tempe Marshal [constable]during the 1920s and 1930s [1932, 1936, '38,-'39, '41-'42].Was constable in 1930, '32, '38, '39, '41-'42. Was City Marshall in 1926, 1927, 1928 at 425 Mill Ave. .On 12 May 1923, he participated in a police raid on a bootlegger's still 3 miles east of town. On 8 Jan 1925, he was appointed town Marshal. On 12 Jan 1925, he was awarded $100.00 for his extraordinary services performed in the capture of the Lawrence Brothers. On 7 Feb 1925, along with Cruz Reyes, captured slayers of Phoenix Police Dept. Officer Haze Burch.
He also worked as a Clerk at Birchett Bros. (1917), an auto operator for Fike's Auto Livery (1918), and mail carrier (1920-21). In 1929 was a laborer.
Was member of American Legion.
Lived at 609 S. Mill Avenue in 1920; 600 Mill Ave in 1921; he later moved to 222[4] E. 7th Street, 1923-1940.
