DescriptionFrom the Tempe Daily News October 4, 1978: When Tempe Sunrise Kiwanis Club staged its annual installation banquet, it was a big night for Duane Dawson (left) and Fred Ackel. Duane, a supervisor with Tempe Parks and Recreation Department, was installed as new Sunrise president - and Ackel, outgoing president, received that plaque as the club's Kiwanian of the Year.
